(thus you can use this outline later!)
Name the new layer, the copy "color"... and save as duck(*).pspimage

Shading
On this drawing I choose a third color, a bright one , and draw all around , before shading.
How to make it quickly:
- Select with
magic wand tool, a part.
-
Open the materials palette (view > palettes > materials) : on the foreground the darkest color , and on the background the clearest one.
-
flood fill with the clearest color (right click with flood fill tool)
- modify > contract > number of pixel: 1,
-
flood fill with the darkest color (left click on flood fill tool)
- Select none (Ctrl + D)
You do like this for all the parts of the drawing, if the colors you choose are too clear and if it's difficult to see the difference between two colors, choose an other one (inside) for the moment.
- At last you only have to correct as the exemple below, only draw some pixels in the darkest color .
This drawing is rather big and I do some 3D effects , so it's important to do the clear color as this exemple, the final seeing would be completly different if you don't... An other reason is that it's more easier to select ...

and save as *.pspimage.
Some colors for this duckling, green is not the color I used with the 3D effect !
(I choose the good color only in the menu > 3D effects >)

Past on a new layer, and move to make it smaller, you can also mirror this selection, choose Image > Mirror.
Save as *.pspimage, at last merge visible, copy and paste as a new image, and export as *.gif optimizer.
